Volunteers Needed: SOVREN Pacific Northwest Historic Races July 4 - 6, 2025 at Pacific Raceways This year the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts will be running the PNWH’s on July 4th through 6th at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. This is the 37th running of the Historics, and we are expecting up to 200 Vintage and Historic race cars from marques including Porsche, Jaguar, MG, Austin Healey, Cooper, Elva, Lola, Lotus, Chevrolet, Alfa Romeo, Triumph, BMW, Ford, and more. Running around the 2.25 mile long, 10-turn raceway at speeds reaching 150 mph, these cars will be competing on the challenging course which features a ¾ mile long front straight and 300 feet of elevation change. Featured this year are Small Block Chevy race cars such as the Cheetah, TransAm/IROC Camaro/Firebirds, Corvettes, F5000, American Indy Car Series and McLaren CanAm cars. SOVREN has partnered this year with MultiCare Good Samaritan Foundation to raise funds for Come Walk With Me supporting breast health programs in Pierce County. To put on a successful PNWH we need over 100 volunteers in staff positions such as Paddock Crowd Control, Ticket Takers, Track Crossing Monitors, Shuttle Drivers, and Car Corral Check-in/Parking Assistance. Adults and minors (minimum 16 years old) can assist in these positions and help keep things running smoothly and safely. Volunteers will be needed throughout the day on all three days of racing. We're breaking the shifts down into morning (8-12) and afternoon (1-5) shifts...so they can choose to work only half a day and still get a free lunch and entry (three day pass) to the races! Come on out and be part of this exciting event!
Conditions for Application: 1. Minor applicants must be at least 16 years of age. 2. Any special needs will be the responsibility of the applicant. 3. Assignments may require traversing uneven grass/gravel surfaces; please indicate any limitations so appropriate assignments can be made. 4. You will be exposed to loud race cars; foam earplugs will be provided. 5. Safety vests, whistles or other specialty equipment will be provided by SOVREN. 6. Lunch, snacks and water will be provided; any special dietary needs will be the responsibility of the applicant. If you would like to volunteer, please contact: Chuck Ward, cfward121@gmail.com
